Thames Valley Air Ambulance
The Thames Valley Air Ambulance is an independent charitable trust providing a lifesaving service for the counties of Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, including Milton Keynes. The Charity’s aim is to bring rapid medical attention when and where it is needed in the quickest possible time. Our distinctive red and yellow helicopter, is manned by a regular doctor-led crew, who are highly trained; deliver the highest level of medical care to those in need. TVAA operates 12 hours a day, 365 days a year. On average, BOB is called out 2-3 a day to emergency missions involving road traffic collisions, equestrian and sporting accidents and the onset of acute illnesses such as heart attacks and strokes, with each mission costing over £2,500. Thames Valley Air Ambulance receives no funding from Central Government or the National Lottery. We rely entirely on your charitable donations and fundraising activities to keep this lifesaving service operational!
