Wales Air Ambulance Charity

Wales Air Ambulance is the official air ambulance service for Wales. We’re on standby every single day of the year, ready to help anyone in Wales during their most difficult hour.   The charity also runs the National Children’s Air Ambulance of Wales, providing specialist treatments for some of Wales’ youngest patients.   Wales has the largest air ambulance operation in the UK, covering diverse and challenging terrain. This is only possible thanks to charitable support: we rely entirely on donations to raise £6 million every year to keep the helicopters flying over Wales.   Since our launch in 2001, the People of Wales have helped us develop from one aircraft in Swansea flying five days a week, to an advanced critical care and transfer operation with four custom-built aircraft that can reach anywhere in Wales within 20 minutes. From premature babies just a few hours old, to farmers in remote countryside, to families on busy town roads: we are here for everyone, every day.    Without donations, we simply could not fly. By supporting Wales Air Ambulance, you are not only keeping us in the air today, but you are investing in our future too. Our vision is to become a 24-hour operation, and with your continued support we can secure night vision technology, radars, lit landing sites, extra flying hours and specialist training for our crews.    With your help, we can keep flying and saving lives.
